It is with regret I advise that Ivan Goile marched off to the Gunpark in the Sky on the 26th of September, at Waikato hospital. Ivan served for many years as RNZEME LAD Tiffy with 4(G) Mdm Bty and with 3 Fld Regt, and was awarded a BEM in 1978. In 2016/17 Ivan was a much repected member of the Arty Association's "Op Ubique" volunteer crew, helping to restore display guns for the Army Museum at Waiouru and 16 Fld Regt at Linton Camp, and attended our most recent session at Linton just a few weeks ago.

Rest in Peace Ivan. Thank you for your service. It was a privilege to get to know you on the "Op Ubique" weekends. You will be much missed by the crew.

They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun and in the morning

Ivan's funeral will be held on Tues 3rd Oct at 1pm at the Te Awamutu Workingmen's Club, and from Thurs 28th Sep onwards Ivan will be at the Rosetown Funeral Home, Te Awamutu (Please phone them on 078702137 before visiting).
