Some of you will have known Col Harding known (behind his back) as Raging Ron,
Col Harding passed away Mon 6 May 2013.
Ex K Force and probably better known when he was Commander ATG.
1. For those who do not know, WO1 Evan Kareko has handed over his pace stick at
16 Field Regiment to WO1 Wayne Mcasey. Evan has earned himself a place on the
USA Sgt Major School for a year and I know that all Gunners will wish him well
Gunners, associates, partners and children are invited to meet at the Papanui RSA on Sunday 26 May, at (or before) 1200 hrs, for drinks then brief formalities to celebrate Gunners Day. The Col Comdt RNZA, Barry Dreyer, will attending.

Whilst we didn’t have 5 Gunners on parade on ANZAC day in Te Aroha we did have 3 and these 3 ex Gunners held the 3 key positions.
1. Mayor Mr Hugh Vercoe Presiding over the Parade
2. Parade Marshall Mr Phillip Legg ex Sgt 4 medium Battery

One of our number, Guy Bransby, in the UK would love to get his hands on an RNZA Cloth or brass beret badge.
We used to get the gilt woven RA badge but I was not aware of an RNZA one until Roger Newth showed me his on skype.
The Australian Artillery Association wishes all Kiwi Gunners a memorable ANZAC Day 2013.
I know that Jim Booth, an old colleague, will be attending the services at Browns Bay as part of 101 Field Battery RAA Assoc. so I feel sure that it will be a grand ANZAC event.

The Band of the Royal Regiment of NZ Artillery has several activities leading up to and including Anzac day as follows :
April 24th – Concert and Remembrance Service at Grace Joel Retirement Village.

requires numbers for catering in regards the post concert BBQ. Details are
