  • George McElroy passed on peacefully early Monday morning, 15 October 2012.

    His Commemorative Service will be held at the Anglican Church, Queen and Wesley St, Pukekohe on Friday 19 October 2012 at 1300 hrs, attended by family, friends and comrades.

    George is now in Totara Hospice, where he is not expected to live long. If anyone who could visit George, that would be appreciated.

  • The team in Christchurch has planned a St Barbara's Day Picnic & BBQ  for Sunday 2 December 12.  The objective is to get as many gunners, families and associates together as possible.

    Died at Wellington Hospital on 8 Sep 2012, at 90 years of age.

  • 60610 Bdr Albert Edward (Bert) HANCOCK, 25 Bty, 4 Fd Regt, 2NZEF.
    Bert HANCOCK died at Johnsonville, 3 Oct 2012. Father of Frances and grandfather of Andrew Mulcahy.
    His funeral will take place at Guardian Funeral Home, 4 Moorefield Rd, Johnsonville at 1100hrs Mon 8 Oct.

  • Doug McConachie died at home on Sunday 23 Sep at age 81, surrounded by family.

    He is survived by his wife Hazel, his son and two daughters.

    Doug's funeral was held at Terracehaven Chapel, 697 Main St, Palmerston North, at 1300 hrs Friday 28 Sep 2012.

  • On Saturday 15 September 2012, 18 retired gunners from the RNZA Association were hosted on the gunline during a live firing exercise by 161 Battery, 16 Field Regiment in Waiouru (just off the Carbuncle Track to be a bit more precise).
