It is with great sadness that I need to inform you of the passing of Brig (Rtd) Geof Hitchings, CBE.  I received the following family Death Notice from Col (Rtd) Rob Hitchings, former CO 16 Fd Regt, this morning:
HITCHINGS, Geoffrey Andrew
Regt No: Q30420 Brigadier (Retired) CBE, former BC 161 Battery in SVN, Director RNZA, and Colonel Commandant of the RNZA.
Died peacefully on 2 November at Remuera, aged 90 years. Much loved husband of Barbara for 67 years. Loving father and father-in-law of Richard and Heather and Rob and Tess. Proud grandfather (Gaffer) of Sarah, Kathryn and Matthew. Loved brother of Terry and Beryl Campey (Deceased). Much respected by all his family, friends and colleagues.
A funeral service will be held at a later date.
