I am doing what I can to preserve some of the Anzac history here. At Nui Dat, where the artillery was located during the war, there is the remains of a concrete bunker. The local rumor is that it was a command or signals bunker. I am asking if anyone knows for sure what it was, has any photos of it from during the war or any more information on it at all.
I have started emptying it. The locals use it as a rubbish tip and that’s no way for a significant piece of Anzac history to be treated. Particularly as there’s not much left here.
