I was able to visit Fred in Waikato Hospital yesterday. I stood at the end of his bed and said “get out of bed soldier” he looked around and replied “Graeme Black!”  We have not seen each other since I left Viet Nam in Mar ’66. Had a great chat with him reminiscing and passing on to him all the messages of goodwill that I received for him.
