Below is an invitation to a VE Day (Victory in Europe) commemoration service in Wellington organised by the British High Commission.

There is a specific request from one of the organisers:
“I am after veterans, this is a hard ask as most of them are so old with very few of them being able to attend events. I am also after stories from veterans about where they were when Churchill made the announcement. So if you hear of anyone who has a family member in this position could you let me know”.
