Our Winter Lecture this month, 50 years ago an Australian Company from 6 RAR on patrol in Phuoc Tuy province in South Vietnam ‘bumped’ into 2 Regiments of North Vietnamese.
The ensuing Battle of Long Tan saw the NZ Artillery Battery shelling well within the normal limits of friendly troops.
