John passed away peacefully on Fri 31st May 2024 in Auckland, at the great age of 102.
John served in WW2 in the Pacific and Italy theatres, and in Japan post-war with J Force, reaching the rank of Captain..
John’s funeral will take place this Wednesday, 5th June, at 10:30 am, at the North Harbour Chapel of Dil’s Funeral Services, 185 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany, followed by a private cremation.
It would be great to see a good turnout of Auckland area gunners to represent the association at John’s funeral, so if any members can attend that would be great.
