On Friday 5th December the Auckland Artillery Officers Mess in conjunction with RNZ Engineer Corps (The Sappers) celebrate St Barbara’s Day the patron saint of bangs and other loud things (Gunners & Engineers) at the Commerce Club, Ohinerau Street, Greenlane.  We assemble about 12 noon for lunch at 12.45 pm and will proceed to the celebrations after dining concludes.  There will be a short round of toasts. 
The lunches are a great social gathering and on this occasion we invite our wives/partners to attend.  Also we will enjoy some pre Christmas festivity.
The Gunners and Sappers cordially invite members of RNZAA to join us for this function.
