Wellington Gunners Day Photos

Gunners day functions in Wellington were a commemorative service at the National War Memorial at midday attended by  about 28 serving and former gunners and several partners – followed by a period of socialising at the Southern Cross.
In the evening, 23 sat down to a dinner in Bellamy’s Restaurant in “The Beehive” in Parliament. A very pleasant meal was enjoyed by all in some special surroundings – nice to see how MPs are looked after!! Pre-dinner drinks were held in the Parliamentary Art Space in conjunction with the final viewing of the “Soldiers Five: a Veteran’s Journey” of works by Trevor Mills, Tim Wilson and (Gnr) Matt Gauldie – very interesting and inspiring!
The photos show both the commemorative service and the dinner. (Photos by Paul Riley, Curator NWM and WO1 Evan Kareko)
