The Royal New Zealand Artillery
The tradition of the “Northern Gunners” celebrating Gunner’s Day with a dinner was started by Jeffery Waters 21 years ago. This year we celebrate not only this tradition, but also the important 300th Anniversary of our Royal Regiment.

This year's dinner will be held on Thursday 26 May at the Esplanade Hotel, Devonport. Devonport has a long connection with Gunners:
• In 1885 three large gun batteries were built on North Head;
• An Artillery crest can be found on the base of North Head, where it was set up by Gunners recuperating in the area after World War 1
• The Association was founded in the 1920’s at the Masonic Lodge;
• In March this year the Captain-General’s Baton was brought to Devonport with the RA Rugby eam.
