Greetings all fellow Gunners,
Our Annual Gathering and AGM is to be held this year in Palmerston North over the weekend Friday29 September to Sunday 1 October 2017.
This is to be based at the Palmerston North Cosmopolitan Club. Our local contact is Tom Roche.
This year our gathering has been formed around an invitation from 16th Field Regiment to be their guests at their Annual Formal Regimental Dinner. This will be on Saturday evening - 30 September at Linton Camp.
Transport has been organised from the Palmerston North Cosmopolitan Club to and from Linton Camp - this has been included in the Registration Fee for the weekend.
The Dress code is : Gents - a min of Jacket and tie with miniatures as appropriate. Ladies - Semi formal.
On Saturday morning our AGM will be held at the Cosmopolitan Club - we would love to see you all there - this is your Association. Any nominations for the Committee are welcome. Please advise either: the President on email@example.com or the Secretary on firstname.lastname@example.org.
Following the formal part of the AGM at approx 1030hrs there will be a presentation by a VANZ briefing team, this will be followed by the opportunity for any members to have a one on one conversation with a Case Manager. This has been organised by Col Matt Beattie and Col Barry Dreyer on our behalf.
This is an important opportunity for all Members along with their Wives and Partners to hear and understand what support is available to them now or in the future. This will cover everyone from present serving personnel to those who have served previously in whatever era. ALL ARE WELCOME (from a personal perspective- it is quite often the wives and partners that encourage and support our Members through the processes in gaining support.)
Saturday afternoon an informal visit has been organised to visit the 16th Field Regiment lines. Transport has been organised to and from Linton Camp for this. This is an optional extra, so please indicate on the Registration form if you wish to attend. The cost is additional to the Registration fee.
We are willing to organise an optional extra activity for the Partners during the afternoon, if there are sufficient numbers. Please let us know if you are interested. This will also be at an extra cost.
Finally, a short Memorial Service will be held on Sunday morning at the Cosmopolitan Club.
The Registration fee is: $65.00 per head.
All Registrations must be in by Sunday 10 September 2017 at the latest.
